Firstly you can prepare the bed for a guest earlier and then put this over the bedding to keep it fresh. Secondly you it'll hide the trundle from view.
The final item which you will probably have to buy is the trundle bed mattress cover. This is the cover which goes over the mattress and under the sheet and isn't to be puzzled with the skirt. Since trundle beds are all different sizes the only way to be sure that you have a wrinkle free night is to make sure that this is ordered at the same time as the mattress.
If you have already purchased a trundle and you prefer to get bedding and the manufacturer is no longer making it, then it is maybe worth considering getting it made especially. If you have the original covers these can be copied quite easily and will probably not be as expensive as you think. You could attempt to buy from another manufacturer, but as with toddler beds, there is no standardization, and the likelihood is that they won't fit accurately.
So when you choose your trundle bed you should budget in the cost of the covers, and if it is for a kids room it may be worth buying a spare set of trundle bed covers as it will probably get quite a bit of use and replacements may be hard to find.
